Pisces is such a “water sign” that it’s represented by two little fish swimming in the opposite direction. Some believe that this represents Pisces diverted attention between reality and fantasy. I don’t know about that but I can tell you that the Pisces man is quite a character! The dates that make a Pisces are February 19 to March 20.
Pisces guys are not as prickly as some other personality / astrological types but they can be difficult to read at times. If you like a Pisces guy (or think a friend might like you) then you would do well to analyze his behavior to see if he’s crushing on you.
Before you analyze Pisces’ behavior, however, it’s best to understand his personality type. Pisces is typically a sweet and loving partner and has no qualms about showing love to the right woman. On the other hand, because he’s halfway stuck in “fantasy” he has a tendency to live inside a bubble. This keeps him safe along with his intuition to avoid problems.
But what’s important to remember is that this is the “bubble” he creates for himself. He doesn’t want to be confined by someone else. He is very much into his hobbies, his art, and his own interests. He has much sensitivity and love for you and sometimes little for other people – other people outside the bubble so to speak. By nature he’s also a dreamer and yet not ambitious because oftentimes Pisces will flounder, not knowing exactly what he wants.
Now that you understand Pisces approach to life, let’s consider some signs that he’s into you.
- He talks to you a lot. (Pisces doesn’t tend to humor people)
Pisces can be self-absorbed so if he talks to you a lot he probably thinks very highly of you. If Pisces doesn’t like somebody, he will ignore them or dismiss them outright. He is frankly not the type of person to lead someone on. Of course, just the fact that he talks to you doesn’t mean he crushes on you. Let’s consider some other signs.
- He gets a little flustered when you’re around.
More so than other signs, Pisces blushes, gets nervous and giggles when their crush is nearby. Since he is the daydreaming type the sudden appearance of you in the “real world” can be jarring. He will try to compose himself but will still come across as nerdy, shy, or maybe at a loss for words. And no, obviously Pisces is not the type of guy to tell you how he feels. Too much to lose! So then…
- Mister Pisces shares. A lot.
Pisces is a fairly private person so when Pisces shares with you seemingly irrelevant information about his art, hobbies, movies, music choices, or favorite books, try to get a glimpse into his personality. A definite signal from Pisces would be offering to share in these activities with you, though if he doesn’t get around to asking you could try volunteering the idea. For example, “Since we both like ___ movies, want to go some time?” This might actually get Pisces out of his routine, since he often needs inspiration.
- Pisces looks at you more often, once he’s interested.
Mister Pisces is the romantic, daydreaming type so don’t be surprised if you catch him staring at you. He is that type of guy that wants to “look into your soul” and fantasize about what you’re like. Just remember that this speaks volumes about Pisces’ subtle nature. He does more talking with body language and his sharing of hobbies than he does outright confessing his feelings. Pay close attention to what Pisces says with his body, not just the words from his mouth.
- Pisces makes time for you.
Not only will Pisces find time to talk to you but he also will be there for you when you need him the most. He will always be willing to listen to you IF he likes you. You do have to do a lot of the talking, because Pisces is a bit too shy about admitting what he feels and will hope you “sense” what he thinks of you. He might even be waiting for you to make the first move OR to show some non-platonic interest in him before he asks you out.
- Pisces will be loyal over the long-run.
Sustained interest is meaningful for a Pisces, especially considering he doesn’t tend to rush into a commitment. He might be flirty but his idea of flirting is usually the polite and safe way of flirting, never any lying or implying that things are deeper than they are. Coming out of his bubble is a big deal so don’t be surprised if he takes his time in getting to know you. He may not want to take you to bed, or if he does, he may not want to get married right after. He will keep you waiting but will stay consistent in the attention he gives you.
Pisces is surprisingly independent, even though he admires leadership qualities in you. He doesn’t want to be pushed or confined, but will move at his own pace. Also bear in mind that Pisces is mysterious and hard to read at times, not only because of his hesitance to commit but also because of his joking nature and very subtle way of dealing with people. You might never know that a Pisces likes you until you fully explore a friendship with him. He is a man who is often lost in his own fantasies but when he is in reality, he loves deeply and loyally.
In conclusion, if you truly admire Pisces then plan for a long-term courtship. Love him in spite of his hesitancy to be outspoken and ready to commit. Perhaps this is a test from Pisces who wants to know that you love him and are willing to wait until he can leave his bubble and build a life around you. In the end, his loving attention will be worthwhile as he is a man who loves deeply, with an almost fantasy-like devotion to you, his dream, that he finally achieved.
