Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, right? Literally…because the old “diamond in the rough” analogy means that we cannot stop gawking and swooning over someone that is completely unique and amazingly talented.
Whether it’s a skill, an artistic gift, or a high intellect in a certain subject, it shows Mister Right that you’re one in a million. Men are attracted to women who are special just by simple evolution. Genetic diversity means a better chance of survival and not to go full Sheldon Cooper on you, but in simple words:
Yes, women who excel in something, or who have a useful talent or ability are that “rare diamond” that men can’t stop thinking about.
Maybe he’s even thinking… “Wow, some day she could be rich and famous! I could be dating the next American Idol!”
Get the picture? It’s cool to stand out. Too many women today get by on just “good enough or fairly attractive…”. Why not rock his world by letting him know you are one in a million? Let him see your secret and amazing talent and he’ll quickly figure out he’s the lucky one.
2. R-E-S-P-E-C-T Soul Singing Lady
With respects to Tina Turner, we mean any woman who values the idea of respect. Respect is not something that’s easily faked and it’s not about becoming part of the “PC Police” and demanding everyone play nice.
No, respect is something you project to others. From the inside out.
You respect yourself and you demand respect from any man you’re dating. You’re not a one-night stand. You’re not an “accident” he made one drunken night. And you’re not a woman who will tolerate mind games, emotional abuse or dishonesty. A man with a good head on his shoulders will always sense when you project that maturity and class and he will love you for it.
And guess what? If he’s a lowlife dog, he’ll take off running as soon as he realizes you won’t tolerate any BS. Spell it, sister! R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
3. The Good Girl (At least in public)
Sure, your average guy may be inclined to hop into bed with anyone who’s cute and indiscriminating. But will he also take you home to meet his parents? No way.
A man will not take the chance of embarrassing himself in front of his family with a woman who is completely wrong for him. A man wants to be proud of his “Very Serious Relationship” and will only show his parents “The Best.”
He wants you to come across as mature, intelligent, educated and likable, someone who would never cause a scene or hurt the feelings of his adorable little mom and dad. Someone they are going to be thrilled to meet.
And yes…of course, he wants a good girl to show up to family dinners and a bad girl on the drive home. It’s kind of funny how many modern relationships fail because the woman is a freak in public but a prude in bed. Believe me, guys want the exact opposite of that! Be nice to his family and then after you get home, break out the whips, cuffs and feathers.
4. The Reluctant Nurturer
Another careful balancing act. No man wants to marry his mother, or for that matter, a clingy woman who nags, whines and manipulates him into showing affection. But a man will always want to be nurtured just enough. Men want women who:
· Take care of problems
· Brainstorm ideas with him
· Support him in his ambitions
· Remind him of important things he forgets (er, except your birthday…he better remember that, right?)
· Take his side when someone else is arguing with him
· Take care of his owie
· Kill that giant spider that’s making his day miserable (okay maybe not a spider…but maybe that vicious looking ladybug!)
And so on. In other words, men want women who will make their lives easier. They want an ally and a best friend. He doesn’t want drama or a project to work on. He loathes being “baby-sat” by you, as if he’s a man-child you have to keep in line.
But what he really desires is an strong, independent woman that’s also cool enough to “save his ass” once in a while.
5. The Sexy Siren
Believe it or not, we’re not just talking about sex…although hopefully you noted that “lady in the streets, freak in the sheets” part, which is 100 percent scientific fact!
But sex appeal is not just a physical process. It’s connected to the romance, the emotional “pull” of an amazing lover that you can’t seem to get out of your head. The conversation, the interchange of looks, glances and body language, and the flirty banter you create with a partner, is all a part of the Sexy Siren’s allure.
The Sexy Siren is seductive and always finds ways to poke her man so lovingly and teasingly.
Men will always, always(!) love the woman who flirts, teases, plays and keeps him on his toes. A smoldering sex siren (think your favorite Hollywood starlet) never wins points by being too nice, too safe or too cutesy perfect. She’s uncontrollable…she’s unpredictable. She’s a character, all right, and a little bit of a rebel. You’ve got major attitude to give him but you’re still always his number one fan.
It’s called sexual tension and guys love-love-love it! When given the choice between the perfect housewife and the sex siren who always challenges him in fun ways, he’s going to pick the siren.
Lesson learned: have fun with him. Life is just too short to be too perfect all the time.
